Council Meeting and Deputations

The public meeting for the proposed development at 8190-8200 Bayview Avenue is scheduled for November 7th, 2023 @ 7 p.m. Link to the meeting can be found here: https://www.markham.ca/wps/portal/home/about/city-hall/council-committee-meetings/20231107-dsc-public-meeting

We highly recommend residents to attend the meeting in person in order to express our seriousness in opposition to the proposal. The meeting is being held at Markham Civic Center located at 101 Town Centre Boulevard. Markham, Ontario, L3R 9W3

We also encourage all residents to take the time to contact the city regarding the development before the meeting date.

Members of the public can send written deputations to the city up to the day of the meeting or request to speak during the meeting. Here is the process for each.

Written Deputations

The e-mail must be addressed to clerkspublic@markham.ca. We recommend that you copy Councillor Keith Irish (kirish@markham.ca) and our association (romfieldra@gmail.com) in your e-mail.

Residents who would like to speak at the meeting must complete the form here.

If you would like to speak at the meeting we ask that you contact our association so we can organize topics of discussion and be able to clearly present to the council.
